When beautiful little Maya came to the studio for a session recently she was all decked out for spring. Miss M loves to dance, she put on quite a show while I photographed her in the natural window light studio in her fine light green spring dress. She also rocked it in the pink polka dots. I sure hope we see Maya again soon!

My friends and bosses when coaching volleyball at Illini Elite, Andy and Michelle’s little angle Aylin will be turning 1 in April.

She is always around the courts at practices and everyone adores her. She loves to play with the volleyballs, ride around in the carts and is always smiling and laughing. She is such a cutie who surely will be an all star volleyball player someday!

Normal Community West High School senior Garrett & I finally got together for his senior photography session March 3rd. After all the unseasonably warm days we had in late February our day was a typical central Illinois March day. Cold, windy with intermittent snow flurries.

Garrett was a champ through it all & we managed to hit 2 outdoor locations in record time, Maxwell Park & Normandy Village, both in Normal.

Once again I will be at the Day of Dance event taking candid photos for Advocate Bromenn. It will be this Saturday 2/25 from 8am-noon at Heartland Community College. It’s a great event & lot’s of fun. Bring your friends and family to dance, learn simple ways to stay healthy, enjoy music, and participate in health screenings!

Julie called me to order a print from another session & nervously asked if I might be willing to help her with a Valentine’s Day gift for her husband. “Sure” what do you have in mind I say?

This is not something that I do a lot of so needless to say we were both a little nervous going into the session. Julie was a real sport & we were able to get some great shots.

In less than a week we were able to do the shoot & get a nice big gallery wrap of the color image for her husbands Valentine’s Day gift.

Bloomington Normal IL wedding portrait photographer debuts blog.

I guess this is my 1st official blog post. Obviously it’s very late coming since I’ve been in business for over 20 years and have had a web presences for 10. Well better late than never!!

I’ve resisted for so long because I am not much of a writer and I had always preferred to let my work do the talking for me. But I guess nowadays with the ever expanding field of people offering themselves as professional photographers it’s nearly impossible to to be found without sticking you head out a little further and speaking up a little louder.
